[QUOTE="Bubbalicious, post: 5099611, member: 7274"] After much consulting with the masses, we have decided that going forth, Memorial Day Weekends will be the best time for Ohio Gamedays. This year's edition will be May 29th and 30th. Saturday, the 29th will once again be held at The Bookery in Fairborn, OH, a very good FLGS. We will have two sessions for games, likely from 10 AM 'til 2 or 3 PM (call it 4 hours with a 1 hour buffer), and from 4 'til 8 or 9 PM. For Sunday, Whirligig and Keeper of Secrets have graciously offered their home. We envision a more relaxed, less structured day of RPGs, board games, video games (including plenty of Rock Band), and socializing. We will have plenty of bunk space for out-of-towners, and there are also many inexpensive hotels in the area for those who prefer to sleep in a more isolated environment. There will be a meet 'n' greet on Friday evening and a send-off breakfast on Monday morning, as well as post game socializing on Saturday (and all day Sunday). Locations of meals and social gatherings To Be Discussed, Bargained, and Determined (we have more people wanting to host events than we will have events, but we have three months to work out these details). Directions and sign-up slots to follow. For know, I'll take game submissions from people, and we'll have sign-ups for those games after May 1. A lot of out-of-towners have repeatedly threatened to show themselves, and we finally had some make it last year. Just ask Yttrai, Scholar, Maddman, and Shellebelle if they had any fun. For this year, and going forward, we are moving it to Memorial Day Weekend because there is actually a lot less conflict, as people don't often schedule weddings, kids' recitals, and other various events on Holiday weekends. Plus, this gives us two days of fun, while still giving people Monday to get home without missing work. Hope to see lots of you there.
