She spends far too long bickering with subordinates, and far too long is spent on her taking the tough decisions (when a simple "America does not negotiate with terrorists" would suffice). She just comes across as being really weak, when I believe the intent was the opposite.(I suspect it may be to do with the way she's been written. As in "Star Trek: Voyager", I think the writers have made the mistake of thinking that because they have a female leader, they have to go to lengths to establish her authority. When, in fact, the way to establish that authority is simply to assume it. By having her constantly fighting and winning these squabbles with her staff, they're perhaps trying to show her strength, but what they're actually showing is her inability to deal effectively with dissent, which shows weakness and poor leadership.)</blockquote>
