How many times has Bill Buchanan -- or his predecessors -- resigned / gotten fired / been removed from CTU by "Division"?

In fact, wasn't Karen Hayes originally sent in to take over CTU from Buchanan?

I just find it humorous that 24 can re-use the same plot devices over and over, yet I keep watching and enjoying the show.

It's an incredible gift indeed.

So, how long will it take Doyle/CTU to un-cuff Jack and send him hunting down Cheng?
How long till Audrey comes to her senses?

And what will happen to the president aides/affair while she is going home to get some clothes?
(Do we have time for yet another terrorist subplot? Probably not, but maybe there is something else in hiding - Tom Lennox actually controlling her or something like that.)

I'd say all that is gonna happen in under 4 hours!

Maybe we will discover that Audrey Raines is actually a cyborg and that her programming went all corrupt. Also.. why the hell didn't jack call CTU and tell them his plan if there was a chance that Doyle would screw it up? After all, how many times were Jack's or someone else's plans messed up because a random CTU agent decided to do something stupid? If I were jack I'd set off the bomb immedately after he was hit.

I'd say all that is gonna happen in under 4 hours!

Na... 3 hours 45 minutes. The last 15 (10 minutes due to commertials) will be the set up for next season and/or just have characters having some last minute personal time before letting the day-after shift take over CTU.
