Incidentally, I saw a pair of cougars at Xcaret on Monday....and in the next enclosure, a pair of jaguars sharing an........"intimate moment". Definitely can say I've never seen anything like *that* before...

I don't know. If you include proto-humans and lions, then lions likely killed many hominids on the plains and grasslands of Africa before we began getting ours back with pointy sticks and sharpened rocks.

Aside from that, there is no love for Kim Bauer, I can tell you that much...

Can you really blame great cats when they have to put up with harassment like this in the wild all the time?

Anyway, the tranquilizer idea is definitely sound, but I'm going to guess that it's probably too cost-ineffective for our governmental agencies to actually decide to implement.
