2d Counters - storage?

How do people store their 2d counters, such as those made by Dragon Scale Counters (http://www.dragonscalecounters.com)? I got the 'one of everything' pack and I'm currently thinking of a card file, but it can be tough rummaging through one on the letters that have lots of different creatures. What do others suggest?

Do you have a store in your area that specializes in collectible coins? I don't have the counter collections myself, but I would think that those binders coin collectors use would be ideal. :)

After buying both of the Counter Collections from FDP (highly recommended - probably the most-used d20 product I've gotten after the core books) I realized that I needed a storage/organization method.

I decided to use ziploc baggies, sorted not by the alphabet, but by type. So I've got an Undead baggie, a Dragon baggie, an Animals baggie, etc. (I really should have separated goblinoids out of the 'humanoid' baggie, though...)

That's what I use, though I think I also need to sub-divide some of the bags.

Go to Walmart or the equivalent. Check in the craft section for embroidary thread. For about $3 you can buy a set of small ziplocks with holes punch for binding. There are also little binders you put the baggies in, so the whole thing ends up like a small folder of counters. Works VERY well.

I'm busily laminating my counters.

PS

or you could try one of those little drawer cases in the tool department, normally used for holding screws and nails and other small metal objects. they look like a little metal chest of drawers with clear plastic drawers. you can label the drawers with masking tape. i use one of these to hold my dice, too (after my dice bag finally gave out under the weight).

I also had this problem with my counter collection (drmuncheon, it's counter collection, creature collection is a book). I am still looking for a so called "flippo-map". Flippo's where a kind of free plastic round tokens you got for free with the patato chips, a while ago. It was a very succesful commercial campaign, and one of the accesoires was a binder to put them in. It has a lot of plastic sacks to put the counters in, and enough of them to store all the types of counters in different sacks. Maybe there are these kind of things in other countries, I think they will do very well (I am still looking for one, asked a couple of friends, but they didn't have one. There are a lot of those binders tho, so I'll find one sometime)

I said Counter Collection!

:D

OK, I knew something wasn't right when I posted that but I didn't have the time to go look up the real name.

Tackle Box

I went to Wal-Mart and got myself a tackle box with 4 plastic drawers in a carrying case. It's great. I put similar monsters in each section, and I try to keep the drawers categoried more or less along the same lines. So if I want, I can bring one drawer, or I can bring the whole box if I don't know exactly what I want. it works very well, and its quite portable.
