Hello all, we are trying to create a net book of adventures for the Ravenloft setting, called the Tales of Damnation. Below are the guidelines for submitting your Adventures to it. We welcome both 2nd edition and 3rd edition adventures; however there are a few guidelines for both types. Second Edition Adventures. When writing 2nd edition adventures please only use rules from the Players Handbook and Dungeons Masters guide, and any Ravenloft 2nd edition book. If using a character or monster from any of those products, please give only basic stats like hit points, damage etc, and refer the reader to what book and page it is listed in. Third Edition Adventures. First and foremost, only items from the core rulebooks and Ravenloft 3rd edition products may be used, and NO open game content from other sources please, as we don't want to enter THAT minefield, no sir, not at all. Also note that any published NPCs or Domains should be given only basic relevant stats for the Adventure and a reference to the book and page number it is listed in. For both formats. Please keep in mind that the content should be in good taste as we don't want to offend anyone now do we? For some useful guidelines on writing adventure modules, check out Dungeon Magazine's submission guidelines here For help with doing NPC layouts for 3rd edition characters, try here (please note we will use these formats when the book is complete) For Third Edition adventures the 3ed DND website has a useful template here Some questions you might ask. Will you accept dual format adventures? Yes please by all means however please make sure the following limits are observed and all 2nd edition rules text should be put into a text box, we will use such a format when compiling the net book. Can I include a domain of my making? Yes within reason, if it only takes up a page or three at the most, then yes we will include a new Domain in the book, as long as the adventure takes place there for at least 70% of the adventure, also you should include what could happen if the Domain lord should be killed during the adventure. Can I include a major NPC or Darklord in it? As in the above question, yes within reason, as long as the NPC only takes up a page or two at the most and again that the Adventure makes up most of the content then yes, AS long as the NPC is relevant to the adventure. If however the NPC is an all ready published one, then no, just the limits given in the paragraphs above. Can I include Artwork/Maps with it? As long as they are original pieces done by the submitter then please do so. To submit your Adventure, please send to the following email address RLAdventureNetbook@thevortex.com And put in subject box the following: (2nd or 3rd) EDT adventure submission And include the following in the email itself and in the adventure at the front (filled in of course) Real Name: Kargatane Member Name: Edition: 2nd or 3rd Character Levels Required: Plot Synopsis: Additional Information: Also please make sure they are in either doc or txt format. We will review all submissions and then get back to you on whether or not it has been accepted and on any changes needed to the adventure if it has been accepted. Also please note that all adventures submitted will be converted into the other edition, if you do not wish this to be done then please let us know when you submit your adventure The Directors of Richemulot Museum of Lost History
