3.0 or 3.5 at GenCon???

Ok, I'm torn. I've got my nice, shiny [heavy] 3.5 books. And I also have my 3.0 books which are a little worn, but I'm quite familiar with them.

I intend to do a lot of pick-up game playing at GenCon. So, the question is, do I take my 3.0 books to GenCon, on the assumption that most pick-up games will be played in 3.0, or do I take my 3.5 books on the assumption that most pick-up games will be attempted to be ran in 3.5, or that they are at least mostly compatible with 3.0, and I could use 3.5 books in a 3.0 game?

Carrying around both sets does NOT sound like fun to me.

All of the pickup games I'm running will be 3.5, not that it should change your mind. I like many of the changes and I'm psyched to get things rolling with the new system.

PirateCat, how where they able to convert all those classics modules to 3.5 so quickly??

Not that it matters, I'm not playing any RPGA stuff.

Unless you plan on DMing at GenCon, just bring both of your PHB's. That way, you can be prepared to play either edition.

I would guess that most people will be using 3.0, since GenCon is only a week after 3.5's official release. Enjoy it while you can - I hear that trying to use 3.0 at GenCon '04 will be punishable by purple nurple.
