Hobgoblins! (Round 2) Lars scoffs at the retreating hobgoblins. "Such cowardice! Face us like men!" He charges forward again, over the body of the hobgoblin he cut down a moment ago, raising the bloody axe overhead for another devastating swing at the hobgoblin dead-ahead... ...But he stumbles a bit over the fallen hobgoblin, and his strike is clumsy when he reaches the new target. Orinar growls in pain from the strike of the javelin, thankful that his armor prevented the missile from tearing through his shoulder. Still, he knew it was severely bruised, and would put him at a disadvantage in combat. Enacting his natural abilites as he strides forward, Orinar mentally focuses a field of psychic force to help protect him from further damage. Kyl scrambles along the floor behind the table, picking up one of the hobgoblin's javelins. Menno throws caution to the wind, rushing along behind Lars. He stabs with his longspear past the paladin, and the point bites into the hobgoblin's hip. The monster spins under the impact, falls, and cracks! its head on the floor. The hobgoblins move into action. One rushes to its left, running along the northern edge of the room and around the table. The other two rush away from Orinar to take up attack positions against Lars, drawing their longswords as they run. Lars parries one attack, but another glances off his helm, causing his ears to ring and flashes of color to swim before his eyes. [sblock=Combat Box] Initiative Order: Hobgoblins (18), Lars (14), Orinar (13), Kyl (9), Menno (3). Lars: 2 lethal, 5 nonlethal. Orinar: 6 nonlethal. Kyl: With cover. Menno: 1 lethal. Hobgoblin: 2 down.
