Hi Technik4 , yes I bought it! I admit to stay in line with the Jones, I had to get it. To stay apart of the game community I bought it. Because it had the words Dungeons & Dragons on it, I bought it! Is that right? If I was seeing a shrink, he may say otherwise :D So soon after the release of 3rd Ed which was susposed to have been play tested to be the perfected game? Sure enough, you'll have errata. But come on, the three main "core" books to play the game are now re-released within 3 years. 1st Ed AD&D was about 9 years before 2nd Ed replaced it (which was not dramaticly different, just improved upon?) and 2nd Ed AD&D ruled for about 11 years, before 3rd Ed was born. The games we played before with these previous editions and the fun we had is no less, so to "have to have" a new rules system to make it that much more fun is...?  Please do not misunderstand me. I enjoy the game and it is my largest hobby and I've grown with it. In respect to everyone who responded, yes 3.5 Ed is just that... 3.5, your arguments provide that and I respect your views and you are most likely correct, but in my opinion, because I have to buy the core books again to stay current, that to me is a 4.0. It was never a requirement to play the previous Editions. My newness to the boards precludes me from past discussions, so please pardon my ignorance if I've unknowingly flogg this horse a second time. Cheers :D
