D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Dark Sorcerer / Interrogator

I am currently trying to build a Neutral Evil Sorcerer who is an ex-interrogator for a small kingdom / city. He enjoys watching other peoples reaction to pain and agony. Generally in battle he will attempt to debilitate an opponent with pain then finish them off once he's had his fun. We are starting a lv. 15 game.

I am looking for some prestige classes that could "enhance" the characters ability to inflict severe pain and cause fear yet fit an ex-royal interrogator. Any ideas on good prestige classes for a pain oriented interrogator?

P.s. I know he could just use mind effecting magics to get the info and he will be keeping some of those in case a particularly stubborn person doesn't tell him what he was looking for. Also I know some torture spells from BOVD, but any others would be welcomed as well.

Take the Able Learner feat from Races of Destiny.

I really like the able learner idea. After all I will need intimidation and sense motive skills. Seems that the beguiler build is based more about mental attacks. Although I have debated with myself about going Sorcerer 5 / Mindbender 10 for the thrall ability.

Good to know. I did notice that it only gives you spells every other level. Sorta sucky.
