[QUOTE="Technik4, post: 843084, member: 7211"] This assumes that Greater Wpn Focus requires BAB 6+, and Greater Wpn Spec requires 10+ General Fighter Melee Specialist Ftr1- Weapon Focus, Power Attack Ftr2- Iron Will Ftr3- Cleave Ftr4- Weapon Spec Ftr6- Greater Weapon Focus, Dodge Ftr8- Improved Critical Ftr9- Mobility Ftr10- Greater Weapon Spec Ftr12- Spring Attack, Whirlwind Attack Ftr14- Improved Disarm or Improved Sunder Ftr15- Ftr16- Ftr18- Ftr20- The non-Ranger TWF Build (assumes same weapon) Ftr1- Weapon Focus, TWF Ftr2- Quick Draw Ftr3- Iron Will Ftr4- Weapon Spec Ftr6- Greater Weapon Focus Ftr8- Improved Critical Ftr9- Improved TWF Ftr10- Greater Weapon Spec Ftr12- TWF Defense Ftr14- Greater TWF Ftr15- Ftr16- Ftr18- Ftr20- Neither of these characters had any "flavor" feats which a fighter can usually afford to spend at least 1 feat on (since they get so many). Neither fighter took Improved Initiative or Leadership, 2 common feats for fighters. Neither of these characters had any feats for ranged attacks, mounted combat, or shield attacks, and both builds assumed no exotic weapons. In my estimation, both seem to have a long while farther (compared to 3.0) to go before a fighter "prestige(s) it". Compare the fighter to the cleric or sorceror, who at present have very little reason to stay as clerics and sorcerors (turning+familiar), and I'd say there isnt much of a problem. Wizards are right behind with them missing out on slightly more, bonus feats and familiar progression. As for metamagic, well they didn't totally redo the system, but they did tweak it. I'd say the system works OK as is, and adding another metamagic feat (to an already healthy list) can only be seen as a good thing. Hopefully the slot modifier for widen was considered for lowering.
