I have a rat as well, my Familiar. He is staying below, in a box near my gear with instructions to stay away from the others, especially any Dogs or such.

That's probably what I'll do if it comes up. The problem, though, is you could theoretically carry your extradimensional space like a balloon around with you. At 12th level, you could extend it to last all day (heck, under 3.0, you could 3x extend it, and just cast it every other day). Why are spells so abusable if you make them reasonable for the normal uses?

I haven't seen any FAQ's or errata or anything on it, but it'd be pretty lame if your rope trick ended up putting you 40 miles from the ship. So, if you want to cast rope trick on the ship, it'll stay at the same spot relative to the ship.

Your rat isn't as noticeable as the hawk and wolf, so it was ignored, in case your wondering. It might have some squabbles with the ship's cat. Interested in a cat fight?

For those not in the know, I was mugged at gunpoint last night right in front of my apartment building. They suceeded in breaking my ankle and giving me a deranged knee (which may have a fracture), though I was standing and scuffling with robber 1, right up until I saw the rather tacky looking pistol in my face that robber #2 had.


I will have a lot more time to game now, as I am layed up for a few weeks.

Gawd. Nasty way to free up some time. Hope your ankle and knee get better quickly, and they catch the robbers, and it's not too much of a hassle canceling credit cards and all that if you have to. And people say it's touch down here in LA . . .
