Hm... ok, looking at Draconomicon. p.26 starts the section on Dragon Society. Relevant excerpts include: -"Dragons of different species seldom form alliances, though they have been known to cooperate under extreme circumstances, such as when a powerful mutual threat arises" -"Metallic dragons of different species are more apt to cooperate with each other" -"though only gold and silver dragons are known to forge lasting friendships. The loquacious brass dragon enjoys the company of other metallic dragons" -"Metallic dragons never cooperate with chromatic dragons" -"The dragon will share this area [territory] with no other dragons except it's mate and offspring (if any)" -"Though chromatic dragons are not eager to share territory, they tolerate some overlap between their territories and those of neighboring dragons of the same species or alignment." "In many cases, a dragon shares overlapping territory with a mate or potential mate." p.27 excerpts: "Crossbreeds between dragon species are not unknown, but very rare. A hybrid of this sort is usually left to fend for itself, but on occasion both parents (if they are on good terms with each other) might watch over it until it reaches adulthood." So... it appears that dragons of the same alignment, but of different breeds, are the only likely ones to have a crossbreed child. So, we've got possible combos of: CE- Black and Red, Red and White, White and Black LE- Blue and Green CG- Brass and Copper LG- Bronze and Gold, Gold and Silver, Silver and Bronze Add the possabilities of the other True dragons, such as the 10 planar dragons (Draconomicon), Shadow Dragon (Draconomicon), Sand Dragon (Sandstorm), 8 Lung dragons (Oriental Adventures), Deep Dragon (Drow of the Underdark), 5 Gem dragons (MMII) and likely more that I'm forgetting. ...All this info and I still don't know what the crossbreed looks like, acts like or is capible of.
