D&D 3E/3.5 (3.5) Master Spellthief question

Pumpkin

First Post
Hi,

Let's take a build like :
Spellthief 1/ Sorcerer X, with master spellthief feat.

Can the spellthief steal an high level spell to use his power to cast an high level sorcerer spell he knows ?

What if I had been Spellthief 1 / Wizard X and can't cast spontaneous spells ?
Can I still use the stolen spell power to cast my own spell ?

Any differences between stealing Divine and Arcane spell ?

Thanks,

This was exactly what i was wondering. Well I was wondering if I had spell mastery of say magic missile could I use the spell stolen to spontaneously cast MM. And then I wondered If I could split up the spell thief spells stolen in to multiple magic missiles.

I think its probably going to be dm descretion. If you took a feat like spell mastery and signiture spell i think you should be able to you know that spell backwards you could use any energy to cast it.
As to sorcerers well they're underpowered compared to a wizard, why the hell not.

That said it says specifically in the spelltheif thing that you can use the spell levels stolen to cast SPELLTHEIF spells. So probably not. But ask your dm.

It might make it a little too easy. i steal your spell and I cast whatever I want instead of: I saw you cast this spell that would be good in this situation so i hope you have another prepared.
