LOL :D

You know, you can use the PGtF and just replace the Spellcasting Prodigy feat with the 3.0 version! ;)

I almost got lynched by our wizard after I had my way and we converted from 3.0 to 3.5. As a result he remodeled his wizard character from human Monk 1 Wizard 6 to dwarven Wizard 7 and introduced into his next DMed adventure a custom made 'Belt of Evasion and Invisibility' so that his precious wizard once again had evasion on his character sheet. :\

When the PGtF came he cried 'foul' even louder since he also had replaced his Spell Focus Feat with Spell Casting Prodigy. All other spellcasters in our group used the switch from 3.0 to 3.5 to also get their hands on Spell Casting Prodigy and so the PGtF was relegated to sitting on a shelf. :(

Besides shaking my head at the level of (IMHO) childish selfishness/egotism and pettyness of your wizard's player (well, basically the other implied spellcasters' too ) depicted I would still recommend having a look at the "Bullheaded" regional feat from the PGFR - which adds both a +2 to your Will save AND makes you immune to "shaken", taking the sting out of many fear effects (like Draconic fear ) even if your Will-save is still incredibly weak.
The "Fearless" feat (PGFR, too) would resolve your problem with the whole line of spells/effects, but would still leave you vulnerable to other Will-affecting stuff - like Phantasmal Killer, Suggestion, Confusion etc....
Plus, it may be a roleplaying challenge or less than fitting for a a particular character.
Yes, both are "regional" feats, and as such unavailable to be picked at higher levels, but, in all honesty I would have a short and to the point talk with your GM(s) about it being available nevertheless. If they balk... well stay with "Iron Will" and in all honesty, start looking for a less selfish group.

Combat Expertise is the second choice I would contemplate, especially with Allied Defense (FR-SS) and Imp. Combat Expertise (CW) as choices down the line.

GL for both of these avenues of action.

Well, there is a ring of evasion, but nonetheless... this really sounds like a highly mature person... not! :p
