D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5e] PrCs: Error or deliberate?

Have Sorcerors and Bards been seriously *hosed* for PrC selection? Lifted from the SRD, for the Arcane Trickster:
When a new arcane trickster level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in a spellcasting class he belonged to before adding the prestige class. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained, except for an increased effective level of spellcasting.
For the Archmage:
When a new archmage level is gained, the character gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if he had also gained a level in whatever arcane spellcasting class in which he could cast 7th-level spells before he added the prestige class level.
For the Eldritch Knight:
From 2nd level on, when a new eldritch knight level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if she had also gained a level in whatever arcane spellcasting class she belonged to before she added the prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. This essentially means that she adds the level of eldritch knight to the level of whatever other arcane spellcasting class the character has, then determines spells per day and caster level accordingly.
For the Loremaster:
When a new loremaster level is gained, the character gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class she belonged to before she added the prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained.
For the Mystic Theurge:
When a new mystic theurge level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in any one arcane spellcasting class he belonged to before he added the prestige class and any one divine spellcasting class he belonged to previously. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained.
And finally, for the Thaumaturgist:
When a new thaumaturgist level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in whatever spellcasting class he belonged to before he added the prestige class. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. This essentially means that he adds the level of thaumaturgist to the level of whatever other spellcasting class the character has, then determines spells per day and caster level accordingly.
Now, I would assume that that +1 caster level includes increasing spells known--except that one of them, the Loremaster, specifically includes that benefit. Does that mean that the other PrC's don't? Or is it just that the Loremaster was the only PrC that was also in 3e and no one bothered to clarify the idea of spells known for Sorcerors and Bards?

This seriously hoses the Sorceror and/or Bard if an a rules-lawyer GM starts getting quote-happy...

+1 spellcasting level includes all aspects of spell casting. basically, anything listed under the Spells section of the class description is effected. no other class abilities are, however.

So, yes, sorcerers and bards gain spells known, spells per day, and caster level. Clerics gain new spells per day and new domain spells etc. Wizards get to add 2 spells to their spellbook and gain new spells per day.

I think it is just an omission. As far as I know every where the sorcerer or bard gain spells per day they also gain known spells.

Yep, Sorcerors and Bards (and in OA, Shugenja and Maho-Tsukai) gain spells known. Just as Wizards (and, also in OA, Wu-Jen) gain free additions to their spellbooks.
