Hey folks. Due to recent events, my crew lost a couple of players just before our secondary campain (we're running two campains in the same setting, with different DMs, alternating every week). So we're down to 3 players (I'll find more, the fourth is on vacation for a little over a month, and potential fifth kicked himself out of the game because he didn't agree with time, but enough of this) So we all chose our classes independantly (I know, I know) but I started talking strategy and build with the 2 other members of my party. The DM is sadistic, so we need to be on our toes. We're all level 2. The team: (We're in modern Japan. We're playing a weird cross of DnD, WoD and a magical girl anime, hence the japanese names. The setting is my creation and I don't think outside the box, I am the friggin box.) Nai, playing Saki, human cleric. I've specced mah cleric as a melee monster, I'll be acting as the tank, multiclassing in fighter (via feats) to have some more stickiness and wearing the heaviest piece of steel I can find. I fight with a bastard sword (not changeable, the character is captain of her kendo team, fear my bokken skills.) I took Sacred flame, Righteous brand and priest shield as at-wills. Healing strike as my encounter. Beacon of hope as my daily. And Shield of faith as my utility prayer. As you can see, I did everything I could to make myself more durable ^_^ I don't have much info about the two others, but we have a fey-pact warlock (halfling) and an archer Ranger(elf). My plan is, of course, to prod the ranger to get some cleric multiclass to have some more healing (so I can stand in melee for a longer time, allowing both strikers to kill more things), and gently poke the warlock into splashing some wizard into her. I don't think I'm wrong thinking our biggest threats are brutes and minions, so we'd need ways to deal with those. My basic strategy was to have the warlock curse a minion, go forth and try to kill the artillery (and gradually curse everyone. The cursed minion would be an emergency escape to be triggered by a team conscious mate in time of trouble. Her main target would be the controllers and artillery monsters, using her teleporting to maneuver around them. Both the ranger and me would be taking the front line. While I would hold the line, the ranger would dance around the frontline and shoot whatever I paint as a target. If something tried to break away from me to hit on the warlock, the ranger's job would be to fill it with arrows in record speed, allowing her to continue her job in peace (occasionally lending a hand, of course). Any other tips, tricks, strategies, or comments on these things? I have no idea if we'll get over level 10, I mostly need things I can use as fast as possible. Anything helps ^_^
