I was wondering if anyone ever made a 3D movement application for grid play. In my mind, this would work well with both in an aerial sense and underwater (or with terrain differences).
If this hasn't been done, I'm wondering what type of application would work well for this. I would like to include movement rates so that you could move in the grid only so far, and also deal with facing and maneuverability. Underwater would work similarly.
At higher levels, by game tends to go vertical. Air Walk, Fly, and other terrible effects, such as Telekinesis and Reverse Gravity seem to come into play a bit more frequently. I would love to be able to block in some terrain and then use some type of representation for the movement.
Being able to measure distance in the 5-10-5-10 style would be the primary purpose. Perhaps radius and cone templates as well.
If you know of something that does this, or have suggestions of where to start on a project like this, please respond.
