D&D 3E/3.5 3e Monsters in 4e

So I've been scouring the MM for some real baddies and it seems 4e lacks them. I mean the rust monster, wights with level drain, none of it is here. Is there a template out there or a list of guidelines for bringing some of the bite from 3e into the 4e battlefield?

1) Rust monster will be in the MM2.

2) Level drain, ability drain, and save-or-dies were intentionally left out of the system, so nothing to facilitate them exists in any official capacity. There's a few threads buried somewhere about trying to revive it.

Level drain has become "Rarh! I eat your healing surges!" Personally, I think (given the 4e structure) that this is a huge improvement.
