Ya think? I had problems with 4e from the day it was announced, and alot of the predictions I made about how 4e wouldn't work were correct. My group and I have been playing 4e for about 14 months now, and I still dont like the game. There are too many small things that dont make sense, where any logic and continuity has been sacrificed for the rules of the game. The magic, both in spells and items, isnt very magical. Rituals still have the feel of a last second tack-on. And I truly truly hate classes being tied to role. On the other hand, DMing is much easier. Putting encounters together isnt hard, and that makes adventure design a breeze. The only problem I have is giving out treasure, since most of the items are meh, and there isnt much to do with gold other than buy more magic. So, I tolerate the game because my players made interesting characters for an interesting campaign, and it is easy for me to run. We play 4e in spite of the rules, not because of them. I have noticed that we buy less of the books tho, which means to WOTC, 4e is a failure for my group.
