D&D 4E 4E and online play.

This isn't about D&DI, just to get that out of the way.

Background to the question: I play RPGs exclusively online. Thus I tend to be leery of games that require a lot of back-and-forth to resolve rules such as combat.

To anyone that has the rules (even "Keep on the Shadowfell") and/or has played some of 4E: How much communication has to go on between players and DM to resolve an action?

not much, just be sure to say:

i attack enemy C with a 18 vs. AC for 8 damage

you should already roll for dmg, he will ignore it on a miss.

It's not that much more complex... tricky things are marks, but we just had a separate box opened with targets and marks and that seemed to work.

I just hope to see a 4E character sheet for Fantasy Grounds, that would be terrific.

It's in progress. For starts a no frills character sheet is being made, after that it'll probably get automated, depending on the licensing structure.

See this thread for details.
