Some potential background on an ancient/modern dragonborn pair. Lemme know whatcha think (can be modded to fit with other lore). Sort of a d+d/terminator hybrid. ;) The modern PC is the fantasy-equivalent of a luddite. (Stog, dragonborn inspiring warlord) In ancient times, Stog was a proud military commander of an even prouder dragonborn clan, the Dragh. His inspiring presence was legendary, and often the key in turning the tide of battles throughout the realm. As the Dragh gradually fought and won most of their iconic battles, the members of the clan became more comfortable, spending less of their time on war and more of it on other pursuits. Many of the clan began to experiment, using magic and artifice to make their lives easier. The pinnacle of convenience was reached with the creation of warforged as personal servants. These powerful, tireless workers were a great boon to the Dragh people. One fatefull day, the warforged got an agenda of their own, and as one rose up against their masters. Most of the clan had given up their war-making ways, and were easy prey for the machines. Most of the clan were lost, and those who survived only did so by fleeing. (Krik, dragonborn TWF ranger) Krik is one of the few surviving members of the Dragh clan. The Dragh have forsaken cities altogether, and now live in the forests in small settlements. They live as simple a life as they can, suspicious of magic and technology, especially when combined. Krik proved himself both a great hunter and great warrior at a relatively young age, and is first to be called upon whenever his settlement is in trouble.
