Hi -- I've tried to give some of this in the character history (see post 86). I've tried to write something where he could know any of the other characters, but need not have worked with them long at any point. He is a soldier who doesn't think of himself as a soldier, who returned home from war to a life that isn't what he thought he had waiting for him, and has consequently never acculturated the way he expected to (draw contemporary inferences if you wish). He's not sullen -- he has a life and what he does he does reasonably well; he can smile -- but he feels that his purpose is missing. And he has no evidence to prove that it's magic and not PTSD or insanity. I liked the idea of the air ganasi having a mirrored (rather than silver) body surface, where it was possible to see reflections of yourself. Getting beyond the surface he presents is a challenge. I realize now that there are hints of the Silver Surfer there, but Asteroch wears a cloak and hood, hiding who he is. He does not have a home, and he is looking to find a way to establish normalcy beyond simply what he remembers. He helps others fight better, and so that's what he's seeking out. If selected as part of this group, he'll be very much a team player and would improve the overall combat ability, and might over-commit in combat, not out of eagerness but perhaps out of self-reproach. He is strong and he is smart, but neither of those helped him when he needed it. Now, if there is a way for him to change the universe and give him back his dreams, he will take it. KS. p.s Even if not selected, if you have any build comments for me, I'd appreciate it. I've really never played at this level before. I also realize I sometimes choose sub-optimal things; the ioun stone seems the right investment for a Int-based character looking to solve what he is convinced is a cosmic mystery.
