Both...? Neither...? Basically it's supposed to be a bit vague so you have the freedom to decide how you what to roleplay out the scene. I've been "directing" your character a bit because I'm trying to do a bit of a "push" and get everybody together and ready to adventure relatively quickly. But I want people to have a chance to interact and do things. Change things I do that they don't like, etc. Here's my interpretation. Which is just 'what I'm thinking right now...' If your post changes the story then I'll adjust my version (to the degree that I can) and we'll work together to build the story. To my mind everything you've done up to now in your life has been sort of like sleepwalking, and you're awake for the first time in your life. You're physically present in the feywild version of the bramble (which is a part of the town). [sblock=Long, complex aside] Neeloo's heroic soul is strongly tied to the faerie (this is clearer if you've read Heian's post). Her incarnations aren't always a fey warlock, per se, but they are always connected to the fey (she's a fey herself, or fey-touched, or a member of another race who was taken to the fey as a child, or defeated a fey in battle and ruled over a fey kingdom for a time, etc). The strength that connection, and the fact that fey are (as I imagine it) inherently difficult to trap, allowed her to briefly slip free of the daze, out of town and "wander into the feywild". Big Green Eyes brought you back. And, because of your connection with the fey, your encounter with him gave you some insights into him. And you want to become closer to the fey, as a human trapped in the Prime Material Plane, the easiest way to do this would be to pact (and you're playing a feylock so obviously we need to get you pacted before the game begins in earnest). [sblock=Big Green Eyes] Big Green Eyes wasn't really supposed to be fey (I had a different background for him originally) but he was an existing part of the setting and worked well (since you have to pact with -something-). So he's fey now. [/sblock] So each night (basically) you fall asleep and "go" to the faerie. Or at least to the bramble. I haven't figured out how you do this. I think it's part of the way that the fey works. You have the right (because of your heroic soul's standing) to challenge a fey and, if you beat them, pact with them. Normally, you could can pact with the fey very easily (your character, or your heroic soul anyway, has a very long relationship with them, such that they couldn't normally deny you). But Big Green Eyes has been cheating, effectively blocking you from pacting properly. To pact him, you have to see him, which is normally well within your capabilities, but he's tricky and you're dazed and so he's been able to cheat. Until tonight. So you're character -has- been sleeping. And in the dream you've been playing a game against Big Green Eyes. Tonight you won and you're pacting him. [/sblock] Sorry that was so long. I'll try to keep my responses shorter in the future.
