I've come up with a new concept, mostly for fun... It was way more difficult to bring this together in some semblance, but I had an idea for a complete coward. The first character I started with the mechanics and built the fluff. This one I started with the fluff, and then built the mechanics. Mucho, way, much, very, super, more difficult... But it's done, and I'm realeasing him into the forum. Run'and'Hide Human Ranger|Rogue (hybrid) You's call i's a coward all you's wants, but i's alive, and he's ain't, MEH! [sblock=Background] Born with plague scarring, Run'and'Hide was abandoned in the wilderness by his human parents. A sterile goblin female chanced by the ugly babe, and fell in love with her child. Rushing the human born baby back toward the hovel, that her clan had stolen out from under a small group of kobold, the infertile goblin raised the baby high and proclaimed her joy. Immediate shouts of dissaproval met the goblin woman, It will attract humans! You's can't go stealing humans baby! I's won't allow in tribe! Rejected, and dejected the female left her clan, taking care of the only thing she had hoped for in life, a child. She didn't mind the scarring, or the huddled way it crawled and walked. The child was raised to run first, never fight unless forced, and raid without being seen. He was shown goblin technique for stealthily taking what was needed for survival. But it wasn't to last long, raiding a particularly alert caravan would be his mothers undoing. She was killed. Run'and'Hide was revealed for a human however, and the aristocrat whom owned the caravan, was beholden to his wife, who had decided it immoral to slay a child as unfortunate as this one. To the high-borne man it was easy to assuage his wife, he would take the boy to be cared for. What type of care, or who was caring, was not of concern to his wife. And so Run'and'Hide was sold to the local Arena. The officials painted his face, to cover some of the unsightly scaring, making him into a sad clown, with tears covering more pronounced raised tissue. They placed him into matches in which he quickly learned to act first, before his opponent took him seriously. Often that action was to run, and hide. The crowd loved watching the terrified, disfigured boy run as fast as he could, screaming as a coward, and hiding, while taking potshots at opponents. It was just the sort of spectacle that brought in money. The arena gave him his name, Run'and'Hide, and brought him out as comic relief after particularly brutal and disgusting battles. He doesn't know any other name, and couldn't spell his if he were to try, which he won't...
