This seemed pretty straightforward at first, but going back and reading it again I see that there is something strange here. Either this simple text is full of editing errors or we are wrong about how 4e skills will work. It says "plus 4 others" and then in the next sentence it says "choose four more". It's either saying that the rogue gets a total of 10 trained skills or they need an editor badly. People have already brought this up... But the part that really gets me, and the reason I started this topic is: Stealth and Thievery are on the list to pick from. For the skills that you get in addition to Stealth and Thievery. WTF? That is making me think that 1. You can take trained skill more than once (maybe the second time is instead of skill focus feat) 2. Maybe trained skill means something different in 4e than in SWSE Finally, it mentions "at 1st level", but only in reference to choosing class skills. That seems to imply that more class skills will be chosen at later levels. So here's what I think it's saying in summary: Rogues get a total of 10 trained skills at 1st level. Stealth, Trickery, 4 from any skills, and 4 from class skills. You can choose the same skill twice if you want to focus in it. You will get additional picks from class skills at later levels. Am I completely off-base or does this make sense?
