4e stats source for common animal, vermin, etc.

I might have overlooked it, but is there currently a stat source for the more common/natural 'monsters' in 4e (like bears, camels, alligators, apes, etc.).

I recall that the 3.5 monster manual listed many of them in the back. This does not appear to be the case with the 4e monster manual. Is this something that might appear along with the Druid in PHB2?

If not, perhaps a third party publisher will put out something along these lines.

Anyway, just throwing this out in case someone know a source. Thanks.

MM has bear, wolf and a few others. AV has camel, elephant and a few more.

Otherwise, Blackdirge has made a Critter Cache Pdf with animals, called Animals and Beasts. It worth picking up.

For me personally, I just use page 184 from the DMG if the critter is supposed to be an actual threat. I just assume anywhere from level 1 to 3 brutes with low damage range (for herd animals) to level 5 or 6 max brutes with high damage range (for serious predators like Siberian Tigers or Hippopotami -- yes, I said Hippos, those things are nasty in real life if you rile them!)

I back up getting Blackdirge's Critter Cache series, right here in the RPG shop for PDFs.

Very good...and handy.

There are also many old threads where people did this. Look for a thread by Keterys. He was doing stats for minis and then did some groups, such as tigers.

Other threads were out there early on in 4e, but I would go the Critter Cache first ;)
