[QUOTE="Charwoman Gene, post: 4361666, member: 5044"] Karnok is a down-on-his-luck dragonborn mercenary/weapons trainer traveling across the ocean to follow up on an intereseting job opportunity. Karnok is loud and boisterous and people seem to respond well to him, but eventually people tend to get annoyed at him and send him away. Early life was basically spent bullying and defending his clutchmates, and he really was turning out to be a real nasty individual when he crossed the wrong person. A Leader of a mercenary band caught one of Karn's brothers trying to snatch a purse from one of his men. Karnok tired to fight him off, put was soundly defeated. The mercenary was impressed with his reaw ability, and decided to draft him into the band. He paid karnok's father off, and took the boy. Under this tutelage, Karnok's skills thrived, but the leader sort of placed Karnok over men who'd been with the band longer and the ensuing friction caused him to be driven off. He's been wandering from job to job ever since. Tarreg, the mercenary leader let Karnok keep the Halberd he trained with to m ake up for the fact that he had to choose the rest of the company over Karnok. I'm implementing him as an Inspiring Warlord, the stats are not done but I think I have the personality. ------------- *clank* Karnok heard the portcullis close behind him as he left the keep, In his head an inner monologue kept him company on the road. "That's the third job I've lost in the last year. Too violent they keep saying. So what if people on their guard die in training accidents. They were soft." "They had heard a little rumor about me too, this may be a problem." --- A few weeks later, Karnok, meets an old friend who knew of an a former employer who was looking for some muscle for Caravan duty. "You'd be perfect, Karn, but, there's one problem... You'd need to take a sea voyage." Karnok's eyes narrowed and his voice turned grave. "Sea voyage... Why'd you even tell me, you know I can't do that..." --- Karnok sat at the seaside tavern after booking passage. He knew he'd have to get on the boat. He also knew he'd have to be so drunk that he'd pass out long enough to get out to sea... As he stumbles towards his bunk on the Silver Swan, he thought to himself, "Maybe this voyage would go okay... I'm not really cursed... no one could possibly have this much bad luck with boats..."
