Thats just amazing. What is missing is the evil empire. The characters seem to cry out for a dominant society or group that controls much of the world. A few possibilities.... Jeroth - a caste based culture that does not allow people to rise above the place they were born into. At the top of the social pyramid are the Priests, the Scholars and the Warriors. They go bu the unwritten rules of behavior far more than any codified laws. ZaZen - a massive bureaucracy run by documents and official permissions. The heart of the bureaucracy is dominated by elderin. Who are obviously more intelligent and better educated than most humans, and all lesser races. The combined forces of Elderin and Humans strive to keep all other 'savage' races under control. Teleporting is called "Walking the Maw" and enough of it will erode the magic that holds the earthmotes aloft. Short distance transport is ignored, but permanent circles are mostly forbidden or restricted to expendable pieces of land at the edge of earth motes. Red and Blue - Two rival demigods control the largest two earthmotes. one favors the raw elemental forces, the other bends the energy called radiance. Any direct battle would destroy both of them, so smaller fights by proxies and wars of influence are far more common, it is said that they were once mortal and brothers, companions or lovers but none now living know the truth. (this rivalry could be expanded to as many as six warring demi-gods.)
