4th ed books you want at launch

Adventurer
I want to see Sword and Sorcery Studios come out with the Creature Collection 4.0 in full color taking the best monsters of the Scarred Lands campaign setting.

I want to see a Paizo headed Tome of Horrors combo with Necromancer Games.

I want to see an Advanced Class Compendium and Race Compendium by Green Ronin.

Now I doubt WoTC is going to let people beat 'em to the precise punch this time around like they did last time, but hey, I can dream right?

At launch I would like a large adventure ala Red Hand of Doom or Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. In the best world, it would be written by WotC to fit in either Eberron, FR or Greyhawk (and presumably any "standard" D&D world).

I want WotC to have to step up to the plate from Day 1. Instead of everyone buying the first full WotC 4E module next summer because it's the only one available, I want people to buy it because it's the best.

And that means Goodman Games, Necromancer Games, Green Ronin and Paizo need to be in the game, throwing some scorching fastballs right across the plate.

Robust competition from the A-team D20 publishers means everyone wins.

I'd love Tome of Horrors 4E, and I'd also like to see low level modules from all the above publishers and the Freeport 4E Companion released next summer.

I don't. If it's 4E conversions of the first Tome of Horrors I want to see it done right, not done first.

I'd rather they wait until 4E has been run through the paces and what works well, and what doesn't work so well, is discovered. Then sit down and put out a quality ToH 4E, rather than rushing it out the door.

Yes, same for me.
Also, adventures from the start, so we can see how it works.

D20 publishers are getting the SRD in January, last I heard. I don't think this is a real issue.

There is a difference between getting the SRD and seeing how the community is using those rules. The d20 SRD was given to publishers early and look at how rough things like the Creature Collection came out.

Since I plan on using D&D Insider fairly heavily, I'm not so sure I'll be using any third party material. Of course, if third parties are granted a methodology whereby they can include their material in the database of DDI, I will become far more interested in that third party material, though I suspect there will be a much higher standard placed for that sort of integration from the third parties.

If I would ahve to manually add everything from a third party book, it becomes far less attractive and pushes me further into a "Wotc Only" mode.
