Team Ambush Terrin's javelin gained so much momentum as it hurled down from on high that it seriously injured the cultist as the scoundrel hurried from the wagon to the cover of the trees. The second javelin buried itself among the tree's roots as the cultist attempted to return fire. He and his companion, the other cultist behind the wagon, both chanted and sent bolts of fire up into the trees where Terrin and Urgan were sheltering. Neither came even close to striking a person, though, and both even failed to catch the trees on fire. The spring rains and proximity to the river's waterfall kept them damp, and only small wisps of smoke showed where the flames had scorched through the leaves. Down below, Merrick rushed toward the caravan driver and kicked him square in the chest as the man stood from ducking behind an ox, to face Merrick as he'd come around the animal's head. The driver stumbled back, and down the steep hill to land with a thud on the next level of road. He lay there for a moment, groaning. Copper shot the second front guard mercenary, who stumbled, wounded, but he spotted who'd shot him, and threw javelins back at him while stumbling up the steep hill. Both javelins came up short, about 10ft downhill from Copper's position. Corrah didn't like that her big buddy was getting javelined at, so she sent two arrows from her shortbow down into the guy, finishing him off. [ooc]Yeah, there's more levels to the switchback.
