Team Infiltrate Copper, who had just finished unlocking the Drow's cage when "Lozant" had spoken elvish, took advantage of the initial chaos of recrimination that occurred when Lorent was accused of being false, to scatter his ball-bearings in between himself and the table. A few of them fell through a grating in the floor, and made splashing noises somewhere below, but most remained in the shadows cast by an iron brazier that hung on a chain from a wooden support over the table. While Rowlow ordered the newcomers to gather in the light, a javelin came from the stairs, where Terrin lurked in the shadows. A cultist staggered, shouting in pain, and Copper took a swift and sudden bow-shot that silenced him. Rowlow waved his hand and the other mercenary moved to deal with Copper. He stumbled on the ball-bearings, but managed to keep his footing well enough that he made two swipes at the goliath with a short sword. Rowlow himself cranked back a heavy crossbow and yelled, "Getan! What's going on? Don't tell me you let that guy get the better of you!" He crossed toward the stairs, and when he saw Getan's body lying on the stairs (shadowed enough that he could not immediately tell if the man was sleeping or dead) he also saw Terrin, hugging the wall. He called Terrin a terrible name with the filth that only a veteran mercenary (or a sailor) could manage, and he shot him with a heavy quarrel. Behind Copper, the drow slipped out of the cage, only opening its door just wide enough to slip out. He mumbled something in his heavily-accented elvish, and the mercenary fighting Copper, as well as some of the ball-bearings, and the near end of the table, all began to glow in an eerie purple light. [ooc]Ouch. Terrin takes 17 from Rowlow's crossbow. He'll have to roll a Concentration Save. M2 didn't see the ball-bearings, but made the DEX Save. He got Copper for 3 & 3 Piercing with a short-sword. Stryke cast Faerie Fire, only got M2. Cultists to go! And @Neurotic Lerent and Sapphirion. (Though not C2.
