A micro-fusion drive and a nanite hive have been implanted within your body to power and maintain cybernetic organ replacements and other technological augmentations while preventing rejection and boosting tissue repair. DNA grafts have altered your immune and endocrine systems to bond symbiotically with implanted biology and increase your healing rate. Until the end of your nest turn you gain advantage on all perception checks and you gain blindsight out to 30 feet.</p><p> You can use this feature a number of times equal to 1 + your Intelligence modifier. When you finish a long rest, you regain all expended uses.</p><p> You cannot use this ability in a vacuum.</p><p> </p><p><strong><u>TRIAGE</u></strong></p><p></p><p>Functions as <em>Lay on Hands</em>.</p><p> </p><p><strong>(M) </strong>At 1[SUP]st[/SUP] level you are able to direct your nanite hive to focus on repairing cell damage or fighting foreign microbes either within your own body or by injecting another with a small amount of nanites via micro hypodermic needles in phalanxes of your fingers during skin to skin contact. Separated from their hive these nanites will only function for a short time before they lose power and pass away via the target’s natural systems (i.e. sweat or urine). </p><p>Your nanite hive assigns a set percentage of its nanites for this function during each extended rest.</p><p> </p><p><strong>(S) </strong>At 1[SUP]st[/SUP] level your bone marrow has been genetically altered to produce neostem cells, allowing your body to quickly replace any damaged or decaying cell with a brand new cell of the same function and to more efficiently fight off diseases and infections. </p><p> Your new neostem cells grow a special exocrine system in the palms of your hands allowing you to excrete neostem laden mucus that can be quickly absorbed by other creatures through skin to skin contact.</p><p> Producing neostem cells does tax your body’s energy tiring you. You can only produce so many before you must take an extended rest.</p><p> </p><p><u><strong>AUGMENTED ABILITY</strong></u></p><p></p><p> </p><p>At 2[SUP]ND[/SUP] level you must spend 3 days of downtime undergoing genetic therapy or cybernetic surgery and 6 days of recovery to elevate your abilities further above those of a mundane. </p><p> </p><p>Choose one of the effects of the spell <em>enhance ability (</em>PHB 237) when you gain this ability; once per long rest you can use this effect on yourself only, it lasts for a number of minutes equal to your augmented level.</p><p> You can expend a boost slot to either regain a spent use of this ability, or to extend the duration of the ability by a multiple of the boost’s level</p><p> </p><p><em>Example: Dr. Stephen Silk has already used his potent pheromones (eagle’s splendour) today, but needs to talk his way past a security check point without being searched. The extra damage is 2d8 for a 1[SUP]st[/SUP] level boost slot, plus 1d8 for each boost level above 1[SUP]st[/SUP], to a maximum of 5d8.</p><p>[/sblock]</p><p></p><p>[sblock=Path of the Splicer]</p><p><span style="font-size: 10px">This archetype is modified from Matthew Mercer's <a href="http://geekandsundry.com/vin-diesel-brings-matthew-mercers-new-class-to-life-the-witch-hunter-class-for-dd/" target="_blank">Witcher Class</a> from Geek & Sundry and for the time being uses the list of mutagens written for that class as it's serums.</span></p><p></p><p><u><strong>EXPLOIT WEAKNESS</strong></u></p><p></p><p>Replaces <em>Divine Smite.</em></p><p> </p><p>If you are a splicer, starting at 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] level, when you successfully hit a creature with a weapon melee or weapon ranged attack, you can expend a boost slot to deal extra damage of the weapon’s type. The extra damage is 1d6 for a 1[SUP]st[/SUP] level boost, plus 1d6 for each level above 1[SUP]st[/SUP], to a maximum of 5d6. </p><p> You can make DC 15 knowledge check (with the relevant skill) as a part of the attack instead of moving this turn, if you are successful the target has <strong><em>vulnerability</em></strong> to the extra damage.</p><p>If the target would normally have <strong><em>resistance</em></strong> to the damage type then that <strong><em>resistance</em></strong> is ignored instead. If the target already has <strong><em>vulnerability</em></strong> to the damage type you deal an extra 1d6 damage instead.</p><p></p><p><strong><u>GENOME MAPS</u></strong></p><p></p><p> </p><p>Through research and experimentation into your own genetic makeup, you are able to devise specialised genome maps modified from your original genome that enhance certain traits at the expense of others. </p><p>Beginning at 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] level, you can create three genome maps, listed at the end of this archetype.</p><p>You create one additional genome map at 7[SUP]th[/SUP], 11[SUP]th[/SUP], 15[SUP]th[/SUP] and 20[SUP]th[/SUP] levels.</p><p> </p><p><u><strong>RESQUENCING SERUMS</strong></u></p><p></p><p> </p><p>At 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] level, when you take a long rest, you can synthesise a number of doses of serum from your blood equal to your Intelligence modifier, which will temporarily resequence your genome to one of the genome maps you know.</p><p>You can administer a dose as a bonus action, and the effects (including side-effects) last until you finish another short or long rest when your enhanced immune system fights off the retrovirus.</p><p>Gene-resequencing is extremely taxing on your physiology; you can only gain the benefit of one dose of serum at a time. </p><p>The retrovirus is created explicitly to resequence your individual genome, if applied to any other living creature they suffer 1d6 poison damage, every hour thereafter the creature must pass a Constitution save or take another 1d6 poison damage. This effect can be removed by any process that would cure a disease.</p><p>The retroviruses you synthesise degrade over time and become useless if not used before you complete a long rest.</p><p> </p><p><strong><u>ADAPTIVE SERUMS</u></strong></p><p></p><p> </p><p>Through your continued studies in genetics and microbiology, you have learnt to make more resequencing serums, of greater complexity, that can adapt to merge with each other within the subject.</p><p>Beginning at 7[SUP]th[/SUP] level you can create a number of serums equal to your Intelligence modifier + 2. You can be affected by two different serums at the same time (though each must be applied separately); bonuses and penalties do not stack.</p><p>At 15[SUP]th[/SUP] level, you can create a number of serums equal to your Intelligence modifier + 3, and can be affected by up to three different serums.</p><p> </p><p><strong><u>IMPROVED EXPLOIT WEAKNESS</u></strong></p><p></p><p>Replaces <em>Improved Divine Smite.</em></p><p> </p><p>By 11[SUP]th[/SUP] Level you can quickly assess the most likely weaknesses of your foes, whenever you hit an enemy with a ranged attack; the creature takes an extra 1d6 damage of the weapon’s type. If you also use your Exploit Weakness with an attack, you add this damage to the extra damage of your Exploit Weakness.</p><p> </p><p><u><strong>RECEPTIVE RESEQUENCING</strong></u></p><p></p><p> </p><p>Your neostem cells have evolved to facilitate the resequencing process within your body. </p><p>At 15[SUP]th[/SUP] level you may ignore the side-effects of a serum when it is applied. Separated from their hive these nanites will only function for a short time before they lose power and pass away via the target’s natural systems (i.e. sweat or urine). This effect can be removed by any process that would cure a disease. The retroviruses you synthesise degrade over time and become useless if not used before you complete a long rest.
