A Balor's flaming sword does 3d8, which seems more reasonable for a high-power monster.EDIT: I think a Huge Longsword is also worth considering as a weapon, which'll also lower the DPR as it'd have an average damage 4½ points lower than a greatsword, assuming it's wielded two-handed.</blockquote>
