For the few games I actually played as a PC, I think I prefer 5e. 4e wins hands down when its time to do heroic stuff turn after turn, but 5e allows me to play my favorite type of character: no resource management classes. I only wish there was more mundane option without spells: Trapmaster, poisoner, scholar, delver, duelist, warlord, pavise-crossbowman, thrown-weapon master, skirmisher, whatever!</blockquote>
