[QUOTE="darkrose50, post: 6790724, member: 70793"] [Question A] Playing Time. You either play too little, and want to play more, or you play too much, and want to play less. We often play too little. We play 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, and break for dinner. [Question B] 5e. You've either given it a fair shake, and want to go back to [insert something], or you've been lurking on these boards, yearning to play 5e, and you haven't started yet. We have been playing D&D 5e, and are about a third of the Dragon Queen module. We paused that game for a while as several of the players did not have a ride. We started up a new game, and are playing in a homemade setting, with homemade adventures. [Question C] Play style. Maybe you've always been a role-player/optimizer. Maybe you're curious what "the other side" is all about. You feel the dark side of the force calling you.3 I enjoy managing resources. I usually end up playing the cleric to manage hit points, but that is no longer an important mini-game. I tried a Bard in HoTDQ till 4[SUP]th[/SUP] level, and I am currently playing a 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] level Wizard. [Question D] Class choice. You've always played one class. Or maybe a style of classes (you've always played melee characters, or magic using characters). You resolve to try something new. I play whatever is needed, but favor spell-casters. I usually play a human. [Question E] Rules. Maybe you want to get to know the rules better. Or, maybe, you just want to not worry about the rules quite as much. I absolutely hate the economic rules. They are horrible. I would like to see the cost of magic items balanced. I would like to see rules for creating magic items that do not require a crazy high level mage. I would like to see a several example economies: Perhaps one that has a primitive economy without much use for coin, lacks organized merchants, lacks the proper magical knowledge on how to create magical items, and is in some sort of dark age lacking economic ideas like auction houses, merchants, or agents seeking out magic for buyers. This seems to be the default rules, but I would figure the Realms would have an advanced economy. I would like to see rules for an advanced economy where merchants and middlemen exist. You know where people act like people, and trade things for things. Where a magical sword is valuable and would not ALWAYS be “worth” half of its creation price. Where magical items have economic value, and are treated as desired commodities. . . . it is insulting that magical items are not valued. [Question F] Goals. Maybe you've always wanted to write a 5e module. Or DM a full homebrew campaign. Or something. I would like to run a hex map exploration game to retake the human homeland after an undead plague. [Question G] Other. Really, this is about you. What are you thinking about? Yes [/QUOTE]
