I took one from 1-15 in my last campaign plus there's going to be one in this game already. With the Hexblade's Curse, it seems there are 2 options: maximize crits or static damage. With the crits it seems like the increased range will be really useful. I critted with my vengeance paladin nearly every battle just due to vow of enmity. Obviously adding your proficiency bonus to damage helps with the static damage. I really like GWM, and I think Hexblade's Curse is perfect for maximizing its potential as long as you can get reliable advantage. At 7th level I could have Barb 2/ War 5 and be able to smite on crits and/or hit for +9 (curse, ability, rage) to +19 (GWM). If I took a 3rd level of Barb I'd have resistance to all damage while raging. Sounds like a lot of fun to me.</p></blockquote><p></p>
