More commonly, DMs will choose one or another of the various DM guidelines to violate: either they will violate the adventuring day guidelines (possibly without realizing and/or admitting to themselves that they are doing so), or they will obey the adventuring day guidelines but use primarily Hard/Deadly encounters and only 3-4 encounters per day, or they just give up entirely on budgets and guidelines and just eyeball everything based on experience.</p></blockquote><p></p>
