I actually have next to no experience with classic VTT programs. They were always too unwieldy for me and I mostly game with people face to face. It's just really hard to justify extra work and research to family when I make so much more with a day job. I have to say I love the writing though, and connecting with other RPG experts is usually an enriching (if time consuming) experience too.
