A 3.5E revised barbarian?

Greetings, all. Lately, many topics have sprung up about how 3.5E is gonna have a modified ranger that isn't quite as front-heavy and has more skill points, making rangers more useful as a class. This is good, since people have been saying for nearly two years that the ranger was the most useless class in 3E.

This has caused another question to pop up in my mind: Does anybody here think it's possible that the barbarian will be modified as well? The barbarian is another class I see numerous complaints about, and many people say that you should never take more than five levels in barb.

So, what does everyone think? Is it possible that WotC will tweak the barbarian a little to make him more useful after 5th level?

Possibly. If it's true that they are making high-level fighters more viable then I don't see why they wouldn't do the same for Barbarians.

I tend to think all of the classes will get feats something similar to the Wizard(Cleric, Barb, Bard, Ranger(maybe?)). Just to make a straight class of those more powerful then a PrC.

From all the information I have read to date, I would say it is very likely that most or all of the classes will have at least some small changes or tweaks, with Bards, Rangers, Druids, and Monks getting the most.

I've not noticed any complaints about the barbarian actually - they get increasing rage, and their rage gets better, then they get the nifty damage resistance... what's not to like in a high level barbarian?

Barbarian is fine

Barbarian is fine. Although if they tweak everything, then they should tweak Barbarian too (otherwise Barbarians will fall behind).

Right now, the Barbarian class is very good from levels 1 to 2 and from levels 11+. However the inbetween levels, levels 3-10, don't really give you many new benefits.

So maybe an extra feat or two in levels 3 to 10, or letting some of the late benefits (11-20) come early.

Dungeon #97 has a barbarian NPC that may or may not be a sign of changes to come. He's a Lawful Evil minotaur barbarian, and he still has access to his barbarian rage (3/day) ability. This may be an error--I've asked for clarification in another forum--but if it's not an error, then this is a big change.
