This is the Gallery for the characters in A Beginning to the End -- New York By Night. Please post your characters here, and update them as we go. I'll also keep a list of important NPCs with brief descriptions here. I'll add to this as they crop up... Walter Morgan: Prince of New York. Ventrue. Apparently Embraced in his mid forties, this Englishman stands at a staggering 6'4". He is a barrel-chested, ham-fisted man with salt-n-pepper hair and a very pale complexion. He speaks in a booming voice with a thick English accent. He keeps himself very neat, with close-cropped hair; he is never with a pair of small spectacles, and always keeps a pocket-watch in one of the vest pockets of his suits. Melinda: Present lead of the local Harpies. Toreador. This skinny blonde girl has much of her present Status and voice because of her heritage -- her Sire is the present Toreador Primogen. A blonde prat who ran away from the college her rich parents put her in to join a band, her Embrace was a bit of a shock to the local establishment -- a snippety little twit, she knows little about the true way of the world, but has a knack for saying just the right thing to praise or sentence others around her. She has a small following of hangers-on who assist her with snide comments and snubs for those Melinda deigns unworthy of personal comment. Rigger: Primogen. Nosferatu. If you took a regular man, sucked much of the fluids from his body, hunched him over, and smashed in his face with a mallet, you'd have the true visage of Rigger. He speaks in a rasp, and favors heavy, covering cloaks. He was originally a member of the Nosfertu Prince Calabos' Primogen as well. Vance Jefferson: Sheriff. Ventrue. A towering black man, Vance was a banker and a broker before the Embrace. Now, he's a leg-breaker and an enforcer for Prince Morgan. Educated at Columbia, Vance did everything he could to distance himself from the Chicago projects and from that scene where his size would be of some importance. In this world, however, his size and strength have come quite in handy, even as he maintains ties to the investment world. Rait: Scourge. Gangrel. It is said that Rait, his mortal name unknown, as a Bavarian noble long ago. Whatever his potential noble heritage, it is all but obliterated in the "man" that is now Rait. If fully erect, Rait would stand around 5'9", but he is never seen standing as such -- Rait comes across as much more of a beast -- hunched, or maybe better coiled. His dress and appearance relays his function: loose, dirty clothing, matted hair, and sharp, piercing eyes. The Beast has taken its toll on Rait through the centuries, leaving him marked by the ravages of the animal within; his hands are always clawed, and his pelt, for lack of a better word, is very thick and sharp.
