A book for NPC classes?

I know a lot of people will stare at the screen shrugging their shoulders, but in my campaign, the NPC classes are important. I've actually had PC's use Expert and Aristocrat (and one almost became an Adept) as classes. I just thought that it would be neat to have a nice book that expands and adds to the NPC classes already there, and maybe add some new ones (like FFG added the Thug, which I believe is OGC). The book could also be used to help define NPCs in your world, and a guide to creating interesting NPCs...

Just a thought... :D

Well, the thing about NPC classes many people miss, is that they are meant to be simple to use for the DM.

The Commoner, Atristocrat, Warrior, and Expert let you quickly make NPCs because they don't have all the special abilities and options and such. (I think FFG kind of missed this point when making the Thug).

I do like new core classes though. But I'm weird

Personally, I don't like new core classes, PC or NPC. I would much rather that the space they take up in published products was replaced by more rules information ("crunchy bits"), flavor text, illustration, or even blank pages...

While they aren't the main focus of the book, "Cities:Born In Stone", coming later this year from Otherworld, and, ahem, written by yours truly, will include a lot of options and details for the NPC classes, esp. Expert and Aristocrat, which are the classes most PCs will be interacting with. I am not currently planning any new classes, but I am working on several feats, new uses for skills, etc, that can give depth and detail to the blacksmith, innkeepers, and mayors of your D20 campaign.

I just posted my own variants that I use instead of the Commoner and Expert NPC classes in the House Rules forum, as I don't think the way they have been done make sense.

Check them out here.
