I thought it was a neat read, and could be of interest to solo gamers, writers, and GMs around here. While I haven't taken a crack at IF in many years, it's always appealed to my inner solo-gamer, sitting as it does in the space between literature and gaming. The article points to a handful of popular tools used for creating current interactive fiction; as well as examples of what game designers have done with them.
Has anyone around here explored this stuff? Any favorite designers to recommend? Or pointers to your own creations?
