I decided to go with a homebrew dungeon, because there isn't a dungeon out there for what I plan on doing. First, let me give you the skinny on what the character creation rules and PCs I have so far are. 6th level. Max HPs. 40 point buy. One player is thinking of a Half (Either Celestial or Dragon) fighter 3. The other, I've confirmed he's going after a Halfling Rogue 3/Wiz3, specializing in thrown items; Haversack, Quickdraw, alchemical weapons, duel wands of MM, and Haste. Nasty little guy. Two other players I havn't told them about the idea yet. Here's the basic synopsys. The PCs are slaves of a Devil race called the Skeral. The skeral are Lawful, as devils go, but they're Brutal, they like gore, they like it now, and they like to see it. They have acknowledged that their slaves have skills, prowess, and thus, decide to make a 'Deal' with their slaves. The Skeral are going to have an Event, where some political leaders from another plane are coming, and thus, they're going to host a little 'party'. A sport. The Skeral have created a Gauntlet. A dungeon which they've filled with creatures taken from various places, traps their slaves have constructed, and so forth. They plan on throwing the PCs into this situation. If the PCs die, hey, they get to watch. IF the creatures in there die? Yay, they get to watch. If a PC makes it Through the gauntlet, their memory of the Skeral will be erased, and they'll be thrown out on their home plane. As well, if there's a divine caster, likely a scroll of Raise Dead will be given (But only one!), so someone can die again. Each of the characters is going to be equipped as they see fit (Under Telepathic supervision, to ensure that those weapons aren't used against the Skeral). They will then be equipped with two more things: An Ioun stone, which is magically linked to an enormous prism, that is situated in the center of an autotorium. This acts as a 'Video Camera', allowing the Skeral to watch the PCs. They will also be installed with a 'Spell Collar', that is attuned to a wand. Any PC mess with the collar? *Bzzt* Mess with an Ioun stone? *Bzzt* Stop fighting? *Bzzt*. Not only that, but the Skeral can idly throw spells through them, just to mess with the party. 'Suggestion: The others are out to kill you.' Considering the power in which the PCs will be created with, I'm going to stock this sucker with some Nasty traps, and some really Mean encounters. For example, a hallway that is more earthen, with lots of roots on the ceiling, and filled with plants (Likely connecting to a room filled with lots of plants, subteranian jungle, etc). Anyways, the last person in line is suddenly *grabbed*, and pulled upward.. What's happening is, a Perma-illusion is hiding an assassin vine, which has animated the roots and plants around. I'll likely throw an Incorperal undead into this situation, just to make it tougher. Thoughts?
