A different assassin

If I were to create a more fighter-like assassin with the DMG assassin, what would you change also to make it balanced ?

I thinking removeing all spell abilities and giving fighter's bab. Is this balanced or should other things be modified also ? More skills points or bonus feats maybe ?

Could make Poison use a feat, and make Death Attack a feat as well with prereqs like (off the top of my head) so many ranks in Knowledge (Anatomy), skillfocus: Knowledge (Anatomy). Perhaps not quite what you're looking for, but if you were to do it that way you could build what your looking for through multiclassing.
 

The problem is the death attack. It is dependent on the asn levels of the character (rather than the character's total level). Multiclassing would mean that either the character is poor in death attack, either he's poor in bab or he's poor in both.

And I would not like to allow death attack to any players...

could make Death attack based on BAB, and so your skill in combat would play a role in how well you could place your blade where you wanted to. Of course, in going for a higher BAB for your Death attack, you would be sacrificing other things that would be important to an assassin, like skill points.


Alternately you could just say it based on 1/2 the character level. This would put it almost exactly in line with that the Assassin PrC is capable of doing.
