You are right! Another thing that bothers me ALOT is this: Something many christians don't understand is that GOD DID NOT WRITE THE BIBLE! Disciples did, ordinary pople did. Maybe someone got the order to copy it and added some cool flavor of their own. THe point is, it is very unlikely that god really wanted us to follow every sentence in the bible like mad slaves. Bah... Myself, I'm a christian (thats my name too... :)), but I don't support many of the aspects of christianity in the general society. I like to use my head instead of following blindly. I've worked out many things for myself and found my own way of interpreting gods word, and I stick with that. The thing that bothers me most about is something I've talked to many ministers about and they all mean the same thing: If you are the worst person in the world, you kill, you rape, you torture, you do all that is wrong. If you then devote yourself truly to god right before you die he will salvage you and forgive you and send you to heaven. But if you are the best person in the world--you help everyone, save lifes and sacrifice yoursel for someone else. If you have grown up with another religion and don't embrace god (because that's what you've been taught), you BURN IN HELLL!!!!!!!!!!!!! What kind of god does something like that? Thats not a caring god, thats a dictator! Obey me or BURN! Doesn't matter what you do, just OBEY ME! Also, I confronted them about what happens when someone die without ever hearing about christianity at all? If you never had the slightest chance to be a christian, do you burn in hell? One had a very innovative answer: He meant you get the choice. Almost like two doors--one leads to suffering and hell, another leads to heaven itself. Then you get a choice: Embrace me and go to heaven... or BURN! In my opinion, god should have revarded those with such faith to their own god that they chose hell, but that doesn't matter. This is why I think for my self and believe every person has their own way to reach god, or whatever it is that is up there (or down there...). I believe every religion is just a different way of reaching the same goal, and if god is no nice he would reward anyone for devotion to anything, if just they are committed. Ramble, ramble, ramble. Bla, Bla, Bla. Great!
