Hello,
I was wondering if any of the board's Finnish members could help me out with a few things.
For my homebrew campaign, I intend to include a region which has a strong early/medieval Finnish feel/design to it (as much as I love Vikings, the pseudo-Viking cultures have been done to death).
I have an English copy of the Kalevala, but other than that, I find that it's relatively difficult to find any thorough sources on Finnish myth & legend. Is there any books or web sites that you could recommend? How about anything on early Finnish society & culture?
Also, are there any good books or online resources for Finnish names (proper & family)?
I'd appreciate any info/comments/suggestions that you could provide.
