Hey, I'm pretty new to DnD. I have been playing with some friends and want to clear a couple of thing sup, thanks for reading this thread and I'm sure if you've been playing for a while you can answers these easily! 1) My daily Thunder Hawk Rage allows me to use Thunder Hawk Rage Attack once per turn. The attack is Strength vs Fort and says Hit : You knock the secondary target prone. It doesn't do any weapon damage but has +2 from an item / feat of mine. My question is, what does it mean by secondary target, does it mean I cannot knock someone down and then hit them? I have to hit someone and then knock another enemy down? Proceeding an attack? 2) Tiger's Leap. It read's "Make an athletics check to jump with a +5 power bonus. You are considered to have a running start and can move as far as the check allows. Does this mean I roll a d20, add +5 and the resulting number is how many spaces I can move? Or.. do I add the +5 to my roll and then add my athletics modifier ? And do I jump over players? what about enemies? Do I grant attacks of opportunity? 3) Pressing Strike, It says Effect : Before attack, shift 2 squares. You can move through an enemy but cannot be there at the end.. My question is, do I have to announce who I am attacking before I make the shift or can I use it to shift at an enemy and attack them? Or.. do I even have to attack at all? Can I simply use it as a shift and let my attack "fizzle" ? 4) Most of my skills say Hit : 1[W] blah blah. and then below say Effect : blah blah My question is, because the "Effect : " is not on the same line or string as the Hit :, does the "Effect" happen even if I miss? I'm asking for all skills in general. 5) Lastly, the Deity Feat Corellon's Grace Trigger : Creature within 10 squares of you spends an action point Effect : You take a move. Can I use this when I use an action point? Or only someone else. Thank you
