First Post
Edena_of_Neith here.
I wish to salute and give my cheers to those who have worked to bring us the Hobby.
And you know what kind of Gen Con I would like to attend?
People sit down and listen to the Design Team, with respect and courtesy.
And the Design Team enjoys the company of the people they are talking to.
People treat celebrities with the respect they deserve.
Celebrities delight in talking to the people at the con.
There is merriment. Fun. Parties. Gatherings. Meetings of friends from afar.
There is joy, and hope, and a sense of the Hobby flourishing and going forward.
There is no anger.
There is no rage.
There is no paranoia.
There is no snickering behind people's backs.
No name calling. No bickering. No put downs. No antagonism.
That would be a wonderful convention. The kind worth driving 1,200 miles to be in.
But it's not a perfect world, and our situations are not always perfect. We are only human.
Let's make it the best Gen Con we can. We are Gamers, and we deserve the best we can give.
For all those who try to make things this way, in spite of all life's adversary, I give my salutations and cheers. The spirit of youth, the spirit of our Hobby, the spirit of fun, can never be beaten down. We will endure forever.
Yours Sincerely
