A good setting/system?

Hi all

I've been lurking for a short while trying to get a handle on the forums for this site and have decided to post a couple of questions for you all. This post is my first question.

First, does d20 lend itself to the "Wild West" (strictly historical - not like the movie/TV series) genre very well? And if so, does anyone have recommendations for a good system for this in d20?

I've got a gaming group that has been playing together for about five years and is now looking for a different type of genre to be playing in. We game plenty in the fantasy settings, but we'd like a little something different to play in once a week. Western and spies are our top two. I like the '60's Spycraft for the latter, but would like a suggestion for the former.

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks :)

Sidewinder:Recoiled

Its a PDF now that's coming to print this fall I belief. It is based off of d2o Modern actually, but it is a very well put together book.

If you don't mind PDFs, the Sidewinder: Recoiled PDF is on sale at rpgnow.com ($8 until the 18th). Its d20 Modern which, to me, is a strike against it. For spy games, you might look for the old James Bond game. The system is nice and its adventures were pretty cool (complete with little handouts and such).

As has already been mentioned, you surely want to check out
Sidewinder: Recoiled. It has been nominated for three ENnie awards and has received great reviews and word of mouth.

The Dog House Gang is celebrating our ENnie nominations by cutting the price by 50% until August 18th on the PDF; it's a can't miss buy at $8.25 for almost 300 pages of Wild West goodness. In addition, the good folks at Green Ronin will be bringing it to a local gaming store near you in October.

We have an extensive preview posted at www.doghouserules.net as well as information and previews on support products that we've already released. So check it out, I don't think you'll be dissapointed.
